
Mrs. Vowel's PBL printed the Rocket Boys picture from the movie, "October Sky", that was partially filmed in Oliver Springs and put in the shed used for the movie for the Oliver Springs Historical Society. You can see the shed and the picture from the movie across the street from the Historical Society.


Mrs. Jones will be hosting a Roane State Application Day for Seniors planning on going to Roane State in the Fall. She will also be available until 5:30 for seniors and their parents to get help setting up their FSA ID for the FAFSA once it opens. FSA ID is required to be set up before students & parents can complete the FAFSA. It also takes about 3 days to activate so the earlier the better. If parents already have an account, then they will not need to create another one.



Rivalry Thursday is LIVE this week at Oliver Springs for OS vs Coalfield! Come out and support the Bobcats as they play to maintain their undefeated status in District play. Kickoff is at 7:00pm!

The Class of 2025 is on FIRE! Not only did they have 100% attendance for the ACT, but they also have 100% completion for their TN Promise Applications way ahead of the November 1 deadline! WAY TO GO, 2025!

Oliver Springs Academy won the Award for Best Attendance in September for Middle and High schools in Roane County!!


This week is 4H Spirit Week. We are also proud to announce that OSHS student Anna A. won FIRST PLACE in lamb in her region at the State 4H Grill Masters Competition.




October is National Principal's Month . We are thankful for our Lead Principal, Mr. Branham!


OSHS Lady Cats Soccer Team is hosting the second round of District Tournaments tomorrow (Tuesday, October 8). Come out and support them on their journey to the District Championship!! They will play the winner of Rockwood and Oneida.
