Today, our Juniors received tips and pointers as they rotated through a series of ACT Prep Stations. They participated in playing Jeopardy and trying to make it through the Breakout Room, as well as visiting Science, Math, English, and Writing.

Hall for providing some cool Army and National Guard swag, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Stout, and Ms. King for helping coordinate this event, Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Monkhouse, Mr. Cataldi, Coach Smith, Mrs. Russell, Mrs. Verner, and Ms. Lawrence for operating a station, and to ALL our Blue Devil Family for pitching in and supporting our students as they prepare for this moment.
A T T E N T I O N! Calling all Juniors! The ACT Bootcamp is coming - Monday, March 25!
Our fearless leader, General Lowery, and her company have created a morning of battle stations that will prepare you for the ACT mission, which will commence at 0900 on Tuesday, March 26th. To fully engage in this operation, you will need a pencil, fully charged Chromebook, cellular device, and calculator - camo is optional.
ATTENTION JUNIORS! You will take the ACT on Tuesday, March 26th.
Come to school on time—you don't want to feel rushed! Make sure to bring sharpened pencils, a calculator, and your Chromebook (charged).
To prepare, we will be holding an ACT Bootcamp on Monday, and you can also practice at www.myact.org. Get a good night's rest the night before and eat something for breakfast that morning.
Juniors and Seniors, Prom Tickets are on Sale! They are $35 now - March 28 each morning and after the second lunch in the Ticket Booth (located in the Lobby). After that, the price goes up to $45. Cash or Check (made out to HHS).
Congratulations to Lainey Skarsten, who will be heading to the National DECA Convention this summer, where she will compete in Financial Consulting. DECA is back at HHS, and these ladies are going straight for the top!

The HHS DECA Chapter is excitedly gearing up for this year's SCDC Convention in Chattanooga. Our students are ready to demonstrate their marketing, finance, hospitality, and management skills. They've been preparing meticulously, sharpening their business skills, and strategizing to shine among the state's brightest young minds. Let's Go Big Blue!!

Kayla is the FIRST Female Dual Enrollment Student to complete NIMS certification in Machining. Chris has completed Construction Site Orientation and CORE Achievement from the National Center for Construction Education & Research.
The National Association of School Resource Officers declared TODAY, February 15, "School Resource Officer Appreciation Day." We are so lucky to have Officer Gresham at HHS! We appreciate all you do to keep our students and staff safe!

Prom is a treasured high school experience that every student should have the chance to enjoy. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to attend due to financial constraints. To remedy this, our Prom Committee is seeking support from community sponsors or individuals to help make prom accessible for all students.

FCCLA is selling Ham N Goody's Cookies in the month of February. If you are interested in purchasing some, you can order from a student in FCCLA or by emailing jcooper@roaneschools.com. All proceeds will support our students who travel to Seattle this summer for National competition.

We are taking orders for this Black History Month Shirt (See attachment/image). Those who order this shirt plan on wearing it on Friday, February 16th, for our Black History Month Celebration in our gym.
The shirt is only $15.00, no matter the size. The shirts are BLACK, and the writing at the bottom is purple. Feel free to also order shirts for your kids or family if you would like to.
