At the request of Roane County Schools' Central Office, Oliver Springs High School was asked to lead an in-service on November 8, 2022, to all high school teachers in Roane County. The Instructional Team at OSHS led by Mr. Booth presented on various strategies that OSHS implements that we believe leads to our success. Data implementation strategies were discussed as well as regular benchmarks, standards based grading, and ACT protocols. Following the presentation, teachers went into breakout groups with their departments to further discuss strategies and learn from each other. OSHS was pleased to host area high school teachers and spend time working in teams with other teachers.
Following the morning's presentation, OSHS staff met together for an afternoon meeting discussing our STEM re-designation and new programs to implement in our school to achieve even more student success.
