Congratulations to all our high school perfect attendance drawing winners & our Bobcats of the Month.
All high school students with perfect attendance are entered into a drawing for a small monthly prize (one winner per grade level). The August winners for the Perfect Attendance drawing are Freshman Anzlee M, Sophomore Colton C, Junior Samantha H, and Senior Gracie S.
Each month, there is a high school Bobcat of the Month from each grade level which is nominated by a faculty member and voted on by the staff. Bobcats of the Month receive a small prize with one lucky winner receiving a gift card. This month’s Bobcats of the Month are: Noah (Freshman), Lane (Sophomore), Tori (Junior), and Walker (Senior).
Also every month, Oliver Springs High School's student body selects a teacher to be awarded as the Teacher of the Month. August’s teacher was Coach Rather.
One teacher for each student wrote out why they thought that student deserved to be Bobcat of the Month. One teacher stated Noah is “always prepared, works ahead in class, and helps other students while leading.” Another teacher talks about how Lane is, “ very helpful, prepared, and has good time management.” One teacher expresses that Victoria is a “hard worker and asks great questions.” Lastly, One teacher stated that Walker is a “very polite and well-behaved student.”
We had a few students state why they thought Coach Rather should be Staff Member of the Month. Students stated that “he is very funny”, “extremely patient”, and they like “way his class is structured,.”
