Oliver Springs High School is transitioning to Oliver Springs Academy and we know you have TONS of questions! We appreciate your patience in this time of transition and will be continuously posting updates for our students, parents, and community members.

Our first day of school is THURSDAY, AUGUST 3. It is a half day with dismissal at 11:45.

There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, August 4; however, MONDAY, AUGUST 7, will mark the beginning of school full time for our students.

Please make sure that all registration forms, Final Forms, and the free/reduced lunch forms have been completed. It is also very important to get the Chromebook Agreement forms completed ASAP on Final Forms as well. In-person Registration will be at the new school on Tuesday, August 1st, from 1-5.

Important Information about the first phase of transitioning from the high school building into the new building:

1. School start times are now the same for both schools-
Doors open @ 7:45
1st bell @ 8:15
2nd bell @ 8:20- This is the tardy bell; therefore,  if you are not in your classroom ready at 8:20, you will be tardy.

2. High school drivers will still park in the old student parking lot and CATCH THE SHUTTLE AT THE HIGH SCHOOL FIELDHOUSE. All buses driving through will stop to pick students up at the field house and will run continuously until 8:20 so please do not be late!  Until the new gym is ready, all students will remain in designated sections  in the middle school gym every morning and afternoon.  When the new gym is finished, we will revisit arrival and dismissal.  When we have a definite date for the gym to be finished, we will let you know.

3. Bus patterns and car rider patterns will be the same for the middle and high school. This means that high school students who are car riders must report to the cafeteria for dismissal.  Their name will be called and they will load the same as the middle schoolers.

We will continue to post more updates in the coming days. We thank you and ask for your continued patience.
